Here is the shoot from a recent collaboration with my sisters and Happiness! It’s always an amazing time working together… the dynamic between us is really powerful and so fun.  Our dream since we were little was to live right next door to each other and work together… well, we live in different parts of the world but the dream to work together is actually happening and we couldn’t be happier!  Shooting the pastel sweats collection for Happiness was such a blast, the team we worked with was so awesome. I don’t know many people who work with their family… or better yet, their in laws.  We have some really good days together and some days it’s a little tougher. Listening to my friends vent about work, issues they face… I find that I can’t relate to much.  It’s just so different. When they hear me vent about work I’m sure they are grateful for their job, problems, crazy co-workers and all! Ha! My mother in law and I got into it in December badly, didn’t speak for a week, I finally called her in for a “meeting” (with Michael of course hahaha), we hashed everything out, then went to Dubai together and had a total blast! Quick quick post from my week in Italy….I’m running late to a Cinco De Mayo party! Eeek. That week flew by between work, meetings, designing the FW collection, checking out our new home in Italy, sitting with an interior designer to pick out furniture and design…man, it was seriously a very intense week! It seems like time is NEVER on my side. So much to do and never enough seconds in the day. Werk, werk, werkin’ it. Some backstage photos from our SS13 shoot on the beach last week. I’m actually still surprised how smoothly and quickly everything went through. Usually I’m a ball of stress before photo shoots! You just never know what could happen and that makes me crazy. What if the model falls ill? The photographer is in major traffic and we lose the sun? Do we have permits in check? Do we have everything we need? What if we forgot something? Nothing bad has ever happened… knock on wood… yet. Feels like a billion years ago but it was just last week that we held a private party at our boutique My Closet Italia on Melrose Ave. for the launch of our Happiness SS13 collection. Beautiful turnout, met really amazing people, and everyone had fun! That’s what matters most, is that everyone has a good time. I took a second to look around at the crowd and noticed we are all young, passionate and creative people.  The world of fashion in which we live is pretty bad ass… you can only have fun with it… but that’s sometimes easier said than done.
